Diversity Research
Biodiversity is the most valuable but least appreciated resource of any region. Interactions between the natural environment and human social systems in coastal lagoons and estuarine zones are complex, but the biological diversity in these areas can be maintained through integrated management of the catchment areas.
Towards conservation of biodiversity and restoration of degraded environments, the research efforts of ReCCLE are aimed at:
¥ Surveying the fauna and flora in coastal lagoons and estuarine zones
¥ Creating biological wealth by restoring the degraded environments
¥ Promoting sustainable development
¥ Restoring natural wetlands
