Postdoctoral positions are now available in the Research Center for Coastal Lagoon Environments to conduct projects in three different field of study.
1. Fields of Study
(A) The diversity analysis.......... A person who is detailed to statistics and can promote the study of a conservation of biodiversity in coastal lagoons and estuaries.
(B) The environmental change analysis........A person who is interested in the sedimentology and environmental changes in coastal lagoons and estuaries.
(C) Project area of research ....A person who can treat a water quality database, GIS, etc.
2. Qualification Requirements
(1) Those who have a doctoral degree, or a person with the research career according to it.
(2) Those who can work immediately at the time of adoption determination.
(3) Age and nationality do not ask.
(4) The applicants who are mainly concerned with field research are desirable to be able to operate the boat and dive.
3. Treatment
Hourly pay 1,500 - 2,000 yen (based on experience). Transportation-expenses provision. 5 day (30 hours) service per week. Social insurance subscription.
4. Judging System
Primary examination by documents examination and secondary examination by interview.
5. Documents required (Style Freedom)
(1) C.V. (with photograph)
(2) List of books and publications
(3) Reprints of publications (less than 6 copies)
(4) Description of your previous research and work experience (about 1,000 characters)
(5) Description of your planned research (about 1,000 characters)
(6) Names and addresses of two references (letter of recommendation is unnecessary)
Notes: Documents submitted will not be returned.
6. Application Deadline
November 15, 2004.
7. Adoption Schedule Time
It is as early time as possible after adoption determination.
8. Period of employment
Basically the position is filled until March 31, 2005, and there is a possibility of renew.
